Our personal training requires NO membership fees or orientation fees. The only thing you pay for are your personal training sessions. Ages range from 19-93. Come in for a sample workout and then decide if our program is best for you.
Live Longer Stronger® is not a social club, but a lifestyle. It builds on scientific principles of physics, physiology, anatomy and an understanding of the relationship of exercise to the human body and its impact on the whole. Our focus is on the 5 major facets of exercise: strength, heart/lung efficiency, flexibility, balance, and body fat loss. We believe that strength training is the key factor. My father who is now 86. With over 56 years in the exercise industry and 10 mega health clubs under his belt, he stands the tests of time. He started way back at the Old American Health Club in Virginia Beach at age 19. By 1980, he owned and operated some of the very first Nautilus training facilities in Virginia including seven counties that constitute the Hampton Roads metro area, officially known as the Virginia Beach-Norfolk-Newport News, VA-NC. He came to Asheville in 1994 and established the very first strength training personal studio Fitness One-on-One.
Our state-of-the-art compound weight stacks produce less friction and enables several hundred levels of available resistance in increments of 2ft-lbs. This feature reduces user strain and, for the first time, made it possible for individuals to select the exact level of resistance required regardless of their strength. The most fundamental principle of strength training is inroad. To stimulate increases in muscular strength and size you must impose a greater demand on the muscles than they are accustomed to. The harder or more intense an exercise is the greater the degree of inroad and the more effective the exercise. We spot you on every exercise pushing you to your limits in a safe, productive, and clinical environment.
